What is Sculptra? How does it work?
Most dermal fillers work by adding volume directly to a specific area, filling with hyaluronic acid and seeing immediate results. Rather than filling, Sculptra rebuilds using an active ingredient called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA): a biocompatible, biodegradable substance that stimulates your body's own collagen production when injected.

What to Expect at your Sculptra Treatment Series Appointments
A topical numbing cream may be applied before treatment. Sculptra is injected using a fine needle or cannula (a blunt, flexible tool alternative to needles), followed by massage to ensure even distribution. Most appointments take 30–45 minutes.
AFTER
Some swelling, redness, or bruising is normal and temporary.
You’ll follow the 5-5-5 massage rule: massage treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. We’ll explain everything clearly before you leave so you feel confident caring for your results.
Avoid strenuous exercise and heat for 24 hours.
BEFORE
Your provider will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan. Most patients require 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. To minimize bruising, avoid blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for 24–48 hours before each appointment.
